This article provides an overview of the QCD module in iObeya. It explains how the various components interact to monitor indicators, manage actions and control escalations in rooms and boards. The different components of the module are structured as follows: 1. **At the room level**: - **Esclation settings**: As a Room administrator, you: - configure [actions escalation](/product/docs/escalating-an-action) “room by room” through the QCD utility. - define: - escalation level types, - room you want to “subscribe to”, - escalation level types you are interested in for each room. - [**QCD configuration**](/product/docs/exploring-elements-available-in-the-qcd-module): As a Room administrator, you: - can enable QCD utilities, - manage room parameters, - track global actions and indicators. 2. **At the Board level**: - [**Historical data**](/product/docs/managing-historical-data-in-qcd): the board records performance data over time and allows you to monitor the progress of your indicators. - [**Letter**](/product/docs/using-the-qcd-letter): You can input indicators on your QCD board only through the letter. The letter tool contains the majority of data as well as attributes mutually related: - **Rings, with**: The other elements are also linked to the letter tool: - **Boxes, with**: - their indicator values, - their status, - their actions, - their comments. - **Indicators, with**: - thresolds. - [Actions](/product/docs/creating-an-action) are related to [escalation](/product/docs/escalating-an-action) settings. - [Historical data](/product/docs/managing-historical-data-in-qcd) store indicator values and thresholds as well sone box data. - The [action table](/product/docs/using-the-qcd-actions-table) tool displays actions linked to a [letter](/product/docs/using-the-qcd-letter). - The [chart](/product/docs/using-the-qcd-chart) and [table](/product/docs/using-the-qcd-table) tools display data indicators linked to a [letter](/product/docs/using-the-qcd-letter). Virtual space where teams can collaborate, organize, and manage their work using boards, and other visual management tools. You can use each room for specific projects, departments, or teams. Additionally, a room represents the fundamental unit in iObeya’s consumption-based licensing model, where each license corresponds to the creation and use of one room. User with elevated permissions responsible for managing and configuring a specific room. This role includes tasks such as adding or removing boards, managing users' access and permissions within the room, customizing the room’s layout, and standardizing visual management practices. The room administrator ensures that the team uses visual management in accordance with established guidelines and best practices. The boards in an Obeya room serve as visual management tools to display key project information, performance metrics, and action plans. Their purpose is to facilitate real-time collaboration, decision-making, and alignment among team members by providing a clear and organized view of progress, issues, and strategic goals. ## Related - [Exploring Elements Available in the QCD Module](/exploring-elements-available-in-the-qcd-module.md) - [Using QCD Letter](/using-the-qcd-letter.md) - [Using QCD Chart](/using-the-qcd-chart.md) - [Using QCD Actions Table](/using-the-qcd-actions-table.md) - [Using QCD Action Card](/using-the-qcd-action-card.md) - [Creating an Action](/creating-an-action.md) - [Escalating an Action](/escalating-an-action.md) - [Managing Historical Data in QCD](/managing-historical-data-in-qcd.md)
