Article summary

The QCD module in iObeya is based on a hierarchical organization structure that groups actions, indicators and escalation configurations to ensure effective process control.

This article provides an overview of the QCD module in iObeya. It explains how the various components interact to monitor indicators, manage actions and control escalations in rooms and boards.

The different components of the module are structured as follows:

  1. At the room level:

    • Esclation settings: As a Room administrator, you:

      • configure actions escalation “room by room” through the QCD utility.

      • define:

        • escalation level types,

        • room you want to “subscribe to”,

        • escalation level types you are interested in for each room.

    • QCD configuration: As a Room administrator, you:

      • can enable QCD utilities,

      • manage room parameters,

      • track global actions and indicators.

  2. At the Board level:

    • Historical data: the board records performance data over time and allows you to monitor the progress of your indicators.

    • Letter: You can input indicators on your QCD board only through the letter.

The letter tool contains the majority of data as well as attributes mutually related:

      • Rings, with:

        • Boxes, with:

          • their indicator values,

          • their status,

          • their actions,

          • their comments.

        • Indicators, with:

          • thresolds.

The other elements are also linked to the letter tool:
